Time 时〔時⧸旹〕 [shí]

때. 시간. 시.

We observe the changes in the world and make appointments based on time. But in truth, time does not inherently exist. It is simply a concept, an agreement created by human beings through observing the world.

The same is true for many things. Once we conceptualize them, we often trap ourselves within those very ideas. This is where suffering arises.

A single day passes, but the speed at which one person experiences that day differs from another. Why? Because the pace of our thoughts, the flow of our inner mind, is different for each of us. That is why nothing can be completely standardized. We merely make agreements.

The reason we miss the most important moments is because our thoughts are not anchored in the present. Instead, they drift toward an unknown future. Yet everything around us right now already contains the conditions for our happiness.
