The Hanmaum Seon Center of Washington DC, established in 1994, leads its community in applying truth to their daily lives and cultivating their mind in everyday settings. The center hosts regular Dharma services with approximately 20 attendees and maintains student and children's groups. Furthermore, they run a Korean language school every Saturday, providing lessons on Korean language and Buddhist teachings to children, and offer a 3-day temple stay program for English-speaking participants each season. In addition, the center organizes diverse activities for laypeople, including recitations of the Diamond Sutra and meditation retreats, contributing to the spread of Dharma in the Washington DC region.
